Police in Dallas say 10 people were injured in a gunfight between at least two gunmen outside a party venue over the weekend.
No arrests were made until Tuesday morning after a late-night shooting in Space Dallas, where a spring break party was taking place. About 1,000 people were at the venue when the shooting started outside, police said.
The gunman was standing in line outside when someone opened fire, police said. The dead ranged in age from 15 to 21 and an 18-year-old was in critical condition, police said Monday.
Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia told The Dallas Morning News that the wounded were “trapped in a crossfire” between at least two gunmen.
The weekend shooting involved multiple shootings in Texas was one of several. Four people were shot in Austin as the city hosted its annual South by Southwest Festival and four teenagers were shot at a birthday party in Houston, one fatally.
