Early this summer the Swedish Parliament voted yes to a new law that lets Swedish authorities listen in to all phone calls and Internet traffic passing the Swedish boarders. The new law caused an unpresidented uprising in the Swedish blogosphere which dominated the debate in Sweden for weeks on end. It’s a issue that affects so many parts of our daily lives and we have never seen a grassroots movement form this fast with this magnitude.
So we decided to do a web documentary about this resistance and we descided to call it Wiretapping Sweden, since it is of interest for everybody who is interested in the Internet, freedom of speech or just digital culture. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:
