If you are tired of Facebook and want to put you energy and time elsewhere why not try to actually do something that matters? TechCrunch just wrote about a contest launched by Moveon.org. Head over to ObamaIn30Seconds and upload a video before April 1 when the chosen one will be aired nationally and probably spread from computer to computer over the Internet as well. If you win you will except from a lot of publicity also receive 20,000 dollars worth of video equipment. The first time Moveon.org did this type of political ad-contest was in 2004 but then it was for George W Bush and the ads weren’t that positive…
Apparently (something I’v missed out on) fans of Obama have their own video-site were they can find all “Obama videos” called YouBama. What would the politicians do without Internet and the power of the consumers I wonder? Well they probably would not engage this much people from all over the world that’s for sure.

Sounds like a great initiative to me. Especially since Obama has a great view on the internet and the ongoing discussion on net neutrality.
