Last monday the ten week long discussion in which Oprah together with the writer Eckhart Tolle began. Ten mondays in a row they will discuss his latest book “A new earth - Awakening to your life’s purpose” live on a a web video channel on Oprah’s own page. The first live transmission was followed by 700 000 viewers (some say 500 000) and many have probably seen it afterwards. You can choose if you want to stream the video on their custom designed player or if you prefer downloading it and watch it on the go. One of their sponsors is Skype witch makes it possible for people watching to call video calls and to be a part of the “classes”. This enables video dialogues with the viewers from all around the world. The had some problems though since there were so many watching the live feed at once but hopefully it will be solved until todays class.

It’s interesting how people can participate in different ways by calling video calls, writing emails (they have a bunch of people ready to receive your questions and opinions) and more. The big question is can we as a collaborative mass really make a difference and make the world “A new Earth”? It will be interesting to see if this leads to other gatherings aiming towards the same goal. If you are in Sweden (GMT +1) you will have to stay up late though, the show goes live at 2:00 AM March 11.
